Moving Files from Shu to Fileso on iPhone

A practical checklist for moving local files from Shu into Fileso and checking which viewing, editing and sharing features you need.

1 min read

If you used Shu to organize files on iPhone, Fileso is another file manager you can evaluate. The safest move is to export a small sample first and check that the files open correctly before moving your whole library. App availability and features can change, so base the decision on your current workflow rather than an old “best alternative” claim.

Move a sample of files

  1. In Shu, export or share a few representative files to the Files app or another location you control.
  2. Open those files in Fileso. Check documents, archives, media and any uncommon formats you rely on.
  3. Decide whether to copy the files into Fileso or mount an existing folder. Mounting an existing folder can avoid an unnecessary second copy.
  4. Check that edits, exports and sharing work as expected before moving the rest.

There is no guarantee that another app can import Shu’s internal settings, saved connections or app-specific metadata. Keep a backup and retain access to your original files until you have checked the transfer.

Features to compare

Fileso can preview many file types, manage archives, edit text and documents, and share files over Wi-Fi. Test the exact formats and services you use instead of assuming two apps have identical tools or storage behavior.
