Open MHT and MHTML Web Archives on iPhone with Fileso

Preview a saved .mht or .mhtml web page in Fileso on iPhone, then export HTML if another app needs that format.

Fileso can open saved web-page archives with the .mht or .mhtml extension on iPhone and iPad. An MHTML archive packages the page and some related resources in one file, which makes it useful for offline reading. The supported extensions are .mht and .mhtml; .mhtm is a common typo.

Read an archived page

  1. Save the MHT or MHTML file to Fileso or a location it can access.
  2. Tap the file to open its preview.
  3. Check the text, links and images you need. Some archived pages may rely on remote content or scripts and will not look exactly as they did online.

If the archive will not open, confirm its extension and try a fresh export from the original browser. Renaming an ordinary HTML file to .mhtml does not create a valid archive.

Need an HTML file instead?

Open the file’s More actions and choose Convert to HTML. Fileso creates a separate output file; inspect it before sharing because embedded resources may not survive every conversion unchanged.

Read the MHTML to HTML guide.
